The Park Bridge Residents’ Action Group & Fund is calling on local residents to help shape the future of our community, heritage, and environment.
Over the past few months, we have been working hard to tackle issues such as road safety, fly-tipping, and the future of the Heritage Centre.
We’ve launched a website, set up a newsletter, and started building momentum for real change in our village.
Now it’s time to take the next step.
To apply for grants, secure funding, and deliver more projects and events, we need to formalise as a constituted community group. That means creating a committee to represent local voices, guide decisions, and help us grow.
Why this matters
Becoming a constituted group will allow us to:
- Apply for grants and external funding to improve the area
- Run community events and projects (like volunteering days, festivals, heritage activities, and environmental improvements)
- Have a stronger voice with local authorities and other partners
- Make sure Park Bridge continues to thrive as a place we can all be proud of
We’re looking for…
Residents who are willing to:
- Join the committee in roles such as Secretary, Treasurer, or general committee member
- Attend regular meetings and help shape the group’s direction
- Bring energy, ideas, and enthusiasm to support improvements in Park Bridge
No special experience is needed, just a commitment to the community and an interest in making a difference.
How to get involved
If you’d like to express your interest in joining the committee, or just find out more, please complete our short form here…
Years of decline and neglect has seen Park Bridge become a hotspot for antisocial behaviour, fly-tipping, and recreational drug use. We’ve also seen significant decline in wildlife, destruction of habitats and deterioration of the River Medlock that runs through the village.
However, with your help, we can take the small first steps towards safeguarding our heritage, protecting our environment, and creating a stronger future together.
Park Bridge needs you!
