We’re delighted to be hosting our first Park Bridge community litter pick and we’d love you to join us.
When: Sunday 25 January
Time: 1:00pm
Where: Meet at the Heritage Centre car park (car park will be open for those who wish to drive in)
This is a simple, practical way to make an immediate difference to Park Bridge’s paths, roads and green spaces, and a great opportunity to meet others who care about the area.
All litter-picking equipment will be provided, and after the clean-up we’ll head to the Park Bridge Institute for cake as a thank you to everyone who takes part.
You don’t need to be a resident, everyone is welcome, including visitors, walkers, families and friends of Park Bridge.
Please relet us know if you plan to attend by filling out our short form below so we know numbers:
What to wear
Please come dressed appropriately for winter weather and outdoor activity:
• Sturdy footwear (walking boots or well-soled shoes)
• Warm layers
• Waterproof coat
• Gloves
• Hi-visibility clothing if you have it (we’ll also provide some)
Safety information
Your safety is our priority:
• Volunteers take part at their own risk
• Please follow instructions given on the day
• Avoid lifting heavy or hazardous items (e.g. sharps, large dumped items), these will be reported for specialist removal
• Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times
• Please be mindful of passing traffic where litter-picking is near the road
We’ll carry out a brief safety briefing at the start of the session.
By coming together, we can set a positive example and make a visible difference to Park Bridge.
We look forward to seeing you there.
